We are now able to offer free vaccinations to everyone over the age of 65 against certain strains of Pneumonia. This vaccination is called "Pneumovax".

In the past it has only been available to those over 70 and anyone who was felt to be at a greater risk of pneumonia. We have in the past linked this vaccination in with the Flu campaign in the Autumn, but the Pneumovax vaccination is avialable all year round, so if you are over 65 years old and have not yet had this vaccination please contact the surgery and make an appointment with one of our nurses to receive the jab.
