The out of hours service for Cheltenham used to be provided by CheltDoc. From October 25th 2004 a new service has gone live which is managed by Cheltenham & Tewkesbury Primary Care Trust.
The hours of cover are slightly different for the old service. They are:-
From 6:30pm to 08:00am every weekday
All weekend -both Saturday and Sunday
All Bank Holidays
There are no longer any Saturday morning surgeries held at St Paul's Medical Centre.
So, if you are unwell at a time when the surgery is not open, and you wish to contact a doctor you can either
1. Phone the surgery on 10242 707670 or 01242 707676 and you call will be diverted to the new Out of Hours Service

or

2. Call direct on 08454 220220

If you are unsure about whether you need to speak to a doctor, then call NHS Direct on 0845 4647. This is a 24 hour service staffed by nurses who will advise whether you should access the Out of Hours Service.
