Campaign information
The Flu Immunisation campaign is a reminder not to be complacent about flu and encourages people aged 65 and over, or those in at risk groups, to arrange your jab see 'flu jab' in the news section. People in at risk groups include those with a chest or heart condition, kidney failure, diabetes or any other serious medical condition.
The flu vaccination is available free of charge to people aged 65 and over and people in at risk groups.
For most people flu is an unpleasant experience: however, it can be a very serious illness for older people or those in at risk groups.
The flu vaccination is safe and effective. Most people experience no or only very minor side effects and the vaccine cannot give you flu.
